The Passover & First Fruits

April 29, 2008

Wow was it a wonderful Passover Seder. The Ruach HaKadesh was precious. We could feel the anointing at the outset of the Seder. The Father was in complete control of the Passover and the time spent before Him was inspiring. He also used so many people during that time. It was so awesome I believe the Father reminded each one of us in a special way what is the meaning of Passover. Passover is about remembering the compassion, the mercy and the great measure of grace the Father has shown to humanity by delivering them from their destructions.

First there was the deliverance of Israel from the hard hand of Pharaoh and the hard life of forced labor and serving a tyrant. You say how does that effect me? I was never a slave in Egypt, I never had to do forced labor in my life. Why should I celebrate the Passover? I am not Jewish and don’t want to practice Jewish rituals. Never mind the fact that I have been adopted into the Jewish family thru the blood of Yahshua, by Father Yahveh. We can ignore the fact that I was delivered from the slavery of sin, the most cruel of taskmasters and set free to serve Yahveh.

I received a letter in my E-mail and this whole letter wreaked with the spirit of rebellion, was soaked in disobedience and justified by perversion of Scriptures. Whoever wrote this letter seemed to wear ignorance of spiritual knowledge like a badge of honor. The letter took and used all the Scriptures that could be perverted to sound as if we have no obligation to the commandments of Yahveh, yet we are told all through the Scriptures that the law will not be done away with. Although there are many Scriptures that teach us of our responsibility to the law, we are not saved by the keeping of the law, we keep the law because we are saved. “1 John 5:2-3 NKJV By this we know that we love the children of God, (Yahveh) when we love God (Yahveh) and keep His commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, (Yahveh) that we keep His commandments.” The Scripture above tells us that we have an obligation to keep the commandments of Yahveh if we say we love Him. I mean to tell you it goes so far as to define the love of Yahveh as keeping His commandments. Now I am going to give one more scripture, there are many more but these two are plain and very clear as to their meaning. “1 John 2:3-5 NKJV He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” Yet there are many that still proclaim this Liberal doctrine of no responsibility to keep the commandments. There has always been one thing that bothered me about this type of doctrine. There seems to be a concept promoted that The Father either changed the way He feels about certain acts or that He expects a lot less of us than He did the Old Testament saints Even though we have been empowered by the Ruach Ha Kadesh ( Holy Ghost). I think this concept is absurd considering the Father promised us that He will never change. The scripture tells us in “Mal 3:6-7 KJV For I am the LORD, (Yahveh) I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. 7 Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD (Yahveh) of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?” There is the idea that we don’t need to repent and go Back to the old paths.
But the Father tells us in “Jer 6:16-17 KJV Thus saith the LORD, (Yahveh) Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken,” and this is the response of the traditional church that has come out of Constantine’s reformation; the one who sought to change the times and ordinances of Yahveh. In times past Yahveh winked at their ignorance; but now requires all men to come into obedience.

“Acts 17:29-30 KJV Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, (Yahveh) we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device. 30 And the times of this ignorance God (Yahveh) winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:” Many people do not realize that the names they use when calling on Yahveh by other names are the names of and refer to sun gods. Nether do they realize that Constantine who made the changes in Yahveh’s ordinances was an Apollo sun god worshiper and when Constantine died he had a sun god funeral. Now this is the hero of the traditional church. Come on people! Get your head out of the sand and smell the coffee.

The only reason Constantine ever embraced Christianity is because he was told by embracing Christianity; he would become invincible. He embraced Christianity but held on to his pagan gods and never stopped or diminished in his faith toward them. As a matter of fact he brought the pagan practices into the church and called them Christian practices by other names. I don’t want to take up any more of your time on the subject of Constantine as we have a lots more to discuss other than constantine.

Lets talk about the Feast of First Fruits and what it meant to the Old Testament Saint and what it means to the New Testament Saint. We were told by the Father that the day after the first Sabbath was to be the feast of first fruit. The Scriptural basis for this Feast of First fruits is in “Lev 23:9-14 NKJV And The LORD (Yahveh) spoke to Moses, saying, 10 “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When you come into the land which I give to you, and reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest. 11 He shall wave the sheaf before the LORD (Yahveh), to be accepted on your behalf; on the day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it. 12 And you shall offer on that day, when you wave the sheaf, a male lamb of the first year, without blemish, as a burnt offering to the LORD.( Yahveh) 13 Its grain offering shall be two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil, an offering made by fire to the LORD (Yahveh), for a sweet aroma; and its drink offering shall be of wine, one-fourth of a hin. 14 You shall eat neither bread nor parched grain nor fresh grain until the same day that you have brought an offering to your God; it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

Some will say that you are picking and choosing which commands you will keep. Why are you not doing the sacrifices that you are instructed to give. And I say we are not picking and choosing we are not sacrificing a lamb and making those types of offerings because the best offering was given by Yahshua. “Heb 10:19-25 NKJV Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus (Yahshua), 20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and having a High Priest over the house of God (Yahveh), 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” Yahshua gave a better sacrifice than we could ever give He shed his own blood and gave His own self for an offering to Yahveh. Any thing we would try to do with an animal sacrifice would be an insult to Him, and we understand we are a sweet smelling savor of Yahshua to the Father Yahveh. Therefore we offer the sacrifice of praise the fruit of our lips. Heb 13:15 NKJV

15 Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, (Yahveh) that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.” It is not that we no longer give Sacrifices to Yahveh we just do it in a new and living way; the fruit of our lips. The Father requires us to be more of a sacrifice than offering a sacrifice of a lamb or goat or grain he want you to present yourself a living sacrifice
“Rom 12:1-2NKJV I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, (Yahveh) that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, (Yahveh) which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God (Yahveh).” Lambs and goats are not sufficient sacrifices

Anymore, the Father wants us to sacrifice our time and ourselves to Him. That way it is not a dead sacrifice but a living sacrifice that is in the Image of Yahshua. Yahshua was the first fruit from the tomb He was resurrected to a renewed life by almighty Yahveh. We also are to be resurrected to a new life sacrificed to almighty Yahveh. To no longer live after the lusts and desires of the flesh, but the putting off of sin and living a Glorious life to Yahveh and His kingdom.

I hope you have had a very successful feast of unleavened bread and a invigorating and a renewing feast of First Fruits and have truly become a type of first fruits to Yahveh.

Love Yah
The Trumpet
