Dumb and Dumber

January 1, 2010

There is one question that has required an answer for centuries. I am going to make an humble attempt to address this question. The question is one that is continually asked today. This question was answered in the garden of Eden by Almighty Yahveh Himself. The answer is recorded in  “Gen 2:15-17 NKJV  “Then Yahveh the Sovereign took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. 16 And Yahveh the Sovereign commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

The answer was surely made clear for us in this Scripture. Sometimes we get so caught up in the story we miss the instruction of the details. Certainly there are restrictions set fourth in this instruction to Adam and Eve from the Father. These instructions were given with the intention of sparing them the experience of death. Note that Adam and Eve never questioned whether the command was to be followed or not they just obeyed. Can you see? Adam and Eve believed that Almighty Yahveh Was protecting them from destruction.

Up until this time there had only been three parties involved in Adam’s and Eve’s relationship with Yahveh. There was about to be a fourth party to get involved. The old serpent Satan was about to raise his ugly or maybe to be more correct to say cunning head. Now the word says he is the most cunning creature of all the beast of the field.

Now notice up until the appearance serpent there has been peace and harmony between Father Yahveh and man; no disagreements, The Father and Adam and Eve walked together in the cool of the evening, perfect harmony. However the minute the serpent came on the scene and started interfering in the relationship man started asking questions in his own mind and that caused him to doubt Father Yahveh’s motives and question whether they should obey the Father’s commandment.

Obviously the Father was trying to deliver Adam and Eve from having to make decisions that would or could result in death, all they had to do was to obey the commandment. By disobedience man brought the consequences of his decisions upon himself. Now man was responsible for making the right choice and he was separated from the fellowship he had enjoyed with Father Yahveh.

What was substituted for the relationship of harmony and trust was doubt distrust and disobedience. Satan asked the Question “Hast Elohiem  said you shall not eat of every tree of the garden”? Eve answered Satan’s question with a slight addition “if we eat of the tree in the midst of the garden or touch it we shall die”. Satan answered, “if you eat surely you won’t die. Instead you will become as Elohiem knowing good and evil.

I have had people say to me that Satan has no power except what we give him but I say he has the power to deceive and only by the power of the Ruach Ha Kadesh can we hope to overcome. I have heard it said how dumb is Ha Satan, he has not come up with anything new in all these years he uses the same old tricks.

From the beginning he has tried to convince man that there is no consequence to not keeping the commandments (law) of Yahveh. Hear what Ha Satan said to Eve surely you will not die if you disobey Yahveh’s commandment.

What do we hear coming out of many pulpits today? “ We are no longer under the law; we do not have to worry about consequences of not following the commandments. We are no longer obligated to cease from labor on the Sabbath that was for the Jews. Ha Satan is still trying to convince you that there is no consequence to violation of Yahveh’s commands; he is still saying surely you will not die.

It seems to me if Ha Satan is dumb that many people are a lot dumber they continue to believe the same old lie; surely you won’t die if you do not obey Father Yahveh.

The Father saw fit to come down on the mountain and write by His own hand the Ten Commandments. These are laws to live by and they still apply. Yahshua came that you might be free from the compulsion to violate the law; not that you could be more lawless.

I have listed two categories below, most of our civilization fall into one or the two. My question to you is to which category do you belong?

The Dumb: Ha Satan: same old story no consequences to violating the Commandments.

The Dumber: The people who continue to believe the same old lie.

The Wise: Rev 14:12-13 NKJVHere is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of Yhveh and the faith of Yahshua.

13 Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in Yahshua  from now on.'”

“Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.”
