Where Is the Fear?

WHERE IS THE FEAR?

There is something missing in the modern traditional church. I am not singling out any particular denomination as I think all have shortcomings. The Word teaches so much about the “fear” of the master yet the modern church refuses to teach it’s members to fear Almighty Yahveh; reckoning that the members will think they worship a mean deity.

I have had people correct me when I talk about the fear of Almighty Yahveh saying, “I don’t serve an angry deity the deity I serve is a loving deity”. I want you to know that I agree with them, we do serve a loving deity. He loved us so much that He rescued us when we had no hope of rescuing ourselves.

We were dead in our sins and doomed to destruction. We had no answers for our dilemma; we were struggling in a cesspool of sin and death. We didn’t even know that we were struggling in sin and death much less knowing the answer to our situation rests is in the Living Sovereign.

We had no fear of Almighty Yahveh because we did not know the consequences of disobedience or the joy of being in obedience to The Almighty through Yahshua HaMashiach. How can you fear something that you know nothing about or that you doubt that existence? The existence of the deity must be a reality to you or the consequences cannot be real to you.

Ps 34:11 “Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of Almighty Yahveh.” I want to try to do what David attempted to do for the children of Israel. I want to try to teach you the benefits of the fear of Almighty Yahveh.

First, there are two categories of fear here. First category is the fear of being without the protection of His Covenant.  In which there is great protection. We live in a violent world and the prince of the power of the air is in control of the violent as they are about doing his biding for him.  His mission on this earth is to rob, kill and destroy and there is no protection against his purposes except the covenant of Almighty Yahveh.

When we step out of covenant by disobedience, we are abusing the benefits of the grace of Almighty Yahveh and risk leaving His protection. Know ye not that Almighty Yahveh will have mercy on whom He will and has not on whom he will not? (Rom 9:15 )

There is the soul however who has no knowledge of the Sovereign of Heaven and Earth or the destructive forces of the enemy of Almighty Yahveh, his name is Satan. Many do not know that they have a choice while in this world and see no urgency to make a decision of whom they will serve. The Father gave you a contract of salvation if you will enter into the contract (covenant). It’s like throwing a lifeline to a drowning man. He is doomed if no help comes but he is also doomed if he will not grasp the lifeline.

To enter into the covenant of protection, which is Yahveh’s lifeline, we must agree to live according to His commands; and acknowledge Yahshua the Mashiach who came to this world to save the world from transgression. He also came to empower us with the Ruach Ha Kadosh to be able to keep the commands. This is the first category.

Then there is rebellion and I think this is the most perilous position for a person to live in. This includes a large group of people who have had false teachings that the commandments are no longer pertinent to them. Since Yahshua came and died for our sins we are no longer obligated to keep the commandments.

What a shame that we are not taught the great and wonderful benefits of keeping His commandments. Walking in obedience to Him is the manifestation of our love for Him. Obedience also keeps us in the protective custody of Almighty Yahveh. The psalmist says in Ps 19:9-11 : “The fear of Almighty Yahveh is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of Almighty Yahveh are true and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 11 Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward.” And in Heb 10:35 -39  “Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of Yah, you may receive the promise: 37 “For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry. 38 Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.” 39 But  we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.”

Disobedience is disdain for His Sovereignty, to discard His covenant and reject the protection thereof. To disregard His commandments is to set ourselves in rebellion against the authority and to do so is rejection of His protection. To do so is to draw back to perdition (the destruction) that we lived in prior to the knowledge of Him. The choice is yours, choose life or choose death, but choose this day who you will serve. Serve Almighty Yahveh and live or serve the false deity of self and live in death and destruction.

Heb 10:26-31 “For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The LORD will judge His people.”   31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”

I must be faithful to warn those who do not see the destruction coming. Ezek 33:2-7 “Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman: 3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; 4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. 5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. 6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand. 7 So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me” We must be busy about warning the unaware that the sword is coming. We must be able to lift up Kadosh hands without the blood of others on our hands.

So let me encourage you to not follow after the doctrines of men but the commandments of Almighty Yahveh.
